Fade Control Window Films
One of the major causes of fading to furnishings and fabrics is the ultraviolet radiation (UV Rays) which passes through glass.
Furniture, carpets, valuable artifacts, office equipment will all suffer within a short period of time with this type of exposure. The ultraviolet light can also bounce off buildings, trees and streets so fading will still occur regardless of which way the window faces.
The damage caused by fading can be attributed to 40% UV rays, 25% visible light, 25% heat and 10% miscellaneous factors (these are average figures). Less stable fabrics will fade quicker but overall we can see that around 90% of the damage comes from light and heat.
